The book contains a selection of the papers delivered at the annual confer- ence of the International Society for Neoplatonic Studies in Olomouc, Czech Republic, on June 14-17, 2017. The principle of selection reflects the thrust of the whole conference; thirteen papers discuss ancient authors, including the Church Fathers, whereas ten deal with the post-Medieval period. As my com- petence is limited, I shall discuss the papers dealing with ancient theories and make only short notes on the last ten contributions.
