2024 - Bibliopolis

P. 55-68

This note intends to announce that the Hermes Latinus sub-series of the Corpus Christianorum Continuatio Mediaevalis series published by Brepols and founded by the late Professor Paolo Lucentini (†2011) is renewing its publication plan. The Editorial Board of the series has been re-constituted, and is now comprised of David Porreca, Bruno Rochette, and Antonella Sannino. In addition, this note will offer a brief history and update on the Brepols book series, a brief description of upcoming volumes in the series, and then focus more closely on the issues that are particular to the criteria of Hermetic classification of the texts. Online Event: Hermes Latinus / Asclepius

In December 2019, Dr Matteo Stefani (Torino) published his new edition of the dialogue entitled Asclepius, a foundational text of the Latin Hermetic tradition. This edition became the latest volume in the CC CM subseries “Hermes Latinus: Opera Omnia”, created by the late professor Paolo Lucentini in the late 1980s. To mark this occasion and to look back and forth on the Hermes Latinus initiative, Brepols & Corpus Christianorum are co-organizing an online alternative to the live event that was originally planned in Napels in May 2020
